Student dormitories and apartments in the heart of Intramuros

The Herald Building was built in 1949 to house the DMHM chain of newspapers: El Debate, Mabuhay, Philippines Herald, and Monday Mail.
The building is named after the Philippines Herald newspaper, which was the first Filipino daily newspaper written in English and the pioneer paper of the DMHM chain. The DMHM operated from 1920 to 1972. Muralla street has always been home to the Herald’s headquarters, though the original building was destroyed during World War II.
In 2015, the 1949 building was restored and repurposed to serve the community of students in surrounding universities such as Mapua, Lyceum, Letran and PLM and others.
